Privacy Policy
HicNow
This Privacy Policy explains how HicNow accesses, stores, and, in limited user-initiated cases, transfers data. HicNow is designed to work locally on the device: by default, capsule content, reminders, and settings remain on the user device unless the user explicitly exports or shares them.
1 Data Controller
Lorenzo Perrone
2 Data Accessed and Processed
- Free-form capsule content entered by the user, including text and optional photo, video, or audio attachments, is stored locally on the device.
- Reminder preferences, archive settings, and other in-app configuration are stored locally so the app can restore the chosen experience.
- HicNow does not require account creation and does not send capsule content to Lorenzo Perrone, analytics services, or advertising partners.
3 Purposes of Processing
- To create, display, and preserve emotional capsules on the user device.
- To attach optional media to a capsule when the user activates those features.
- To schedule local reminders and remember configuration choices such as privacy, export, and interface preferences.
- To generate archives or exports only when the user intentionally starts an export or share action.
4 Third-party services and transfers
- No analytics, advertising, or remote cloud backend is part of the HicNow build.
- If the user exports or shares an archive through the operating system share sheet, the selected recipient app or service may receive the exported file under its own privacy policy.
- HicNow is intended to remain local-first; if future versions add remote processors or SDKs, this policy and the related store disclosures must be updated before release.
5 Security measures
- Capsule data and app settings are stored inside the device sandbox and local persistence layers used by the app.
- Permissions such as camera, microphone, and notifications are requested only when needed for the corresponding feature.
- No method of local storage is absolutely secure, especially once the user exports a file outside HicNow.
6 Retention and deletion
- Local capsule data remains on the device until the user deletes entries, clears app data, or removes the app.
- Reminder and configuration data remains locally available until it is changed or removed by the user.
- Any exported archive is retained in the destination chosen by the user until the user deletes it there.
7 Privacy choices and user rights
- Users can use HicNow without creating an account.
- Users may deny camera, microphone, or notification permissions; some features will then be unavailable or limited.
- Local data can generally be removed through in-app deletion flows, app data reset, or uninstall.
Users may request information, access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR to the extent those rights apply. Because HicNow is designed to keep data locally by default, many privacy choices are exercised directly on the device rather than through a central account portal.

For clarity, this policy describes both on-device access and the limited cases where a user intentionally exports data. Google Play Data safety and Apple App Privacy labels may use narrower definitions of “collect” that focus on off-device transmission. Before public launch, replace the contact mailbox with an actively monitored production address if needed.
9 Store disclosure note
This page is intended to remain publicly accessible and reusable as the Privacy Policy URL for app stores, while the Google Play Data safety form and Apple App Privacy answers must stay aligned with the actual released build.
