Morsino Support

For questions, reports, or requests about the apps, use the dedicated contact below.

Does Morsino send my meals or food history to a server?

No. Morsino runs locally on your device. Food descriptions, nutritional records, custom products, daily targets, and preferences are stored in a local SQLite database. The app has no user accounts, no proprietary cloud diary, and no developer telemetry. Cloud and BYOK AI providers remain hidden and inactive in the current release.

When does Morsino access the internet?

Internet access is used only after you explicitly choose a packaged-food lookup through Open Food Facts: scanning or entering a barcode, or searching by product name from the review flow. Morsino sends only the barcode or search text you chose; your food diary, logs, targets, and history are never transmitted. If you do not use these online lookups, Morsino operates fully offline.

How are voice dictation, camera OCR, and meal photos handled?

Voice dictation streams audio directly to your operating system’s on-device speech recognizer; audio is never recorded to a Morsino file or uploaded. Camera access for barcodes, nutrition-label OCR, or supported on-device meal photos is strictly user-initiated. Temporary captured photos are deleted immediately after analysis, and gallery originals remain untouched in your photo library.

How do device backups and exports work?

You can export your food diary at any time as portable CSV, JSON, or a validated full database backup file via your device’s native share sheet. In addition, Morsino accepts standard encrypted platform device backups managed by your Apple or Google account (which securely back up the local database while excluding redundant catalog caches). Morsino cannot access, inspect, or manage platform backup contents.

Are nutritional values and targets medical advice?

No. Morsino is a calm, informational food journal and estimation utility. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or clinical diet planner. Calorie and macro targets are optional personal references set by you, not prescribed goals. Missing nutritional facts remain unknown rather than guessed, and you should always consult a healthcare professional for dietary or medical decisions.

How do optional support contributions (tip jar) work?

Settings includes an optional support screen with repeatable consumable tiers processed securely by Apple App Store. Morsino never sees or stores your payment details. Morsino is fully functional and free of paywalls or subscriptions without any purchase.
